Facebook is now allowing its users to edit the comments they have written. However, if a comment is edited, the edit history will be shown. Basically, the edit history means that your edited comment will show on the same spot where your original comment was users also have the option to view the previous (original) comments.
How To Edit Your Comment
1. Scroll to the top right of your comment box.
2. The "Edit" icon will show up.
3. Click on the icon and choose "Edit" from the drop down list.
4. Change/Edit your comment and hit enter.
How To See Someone's Original Comment
When you see an edited Facebook comment, you see the word "edited" written below the comment in grey. If you click on it then you will be shown the edit history- the original comment that was edited.
